Empire State University’s Master of Education in Special Education (M.Ed. SpEd) prepares certified teachers to support students with disabilities from Pre-K through Grade 12. This clinically rich residency program leads to New York State certification in Students with Disabilities (All Grades, P–12, Generalist) and is designed for educators who already hold a base teaching certificate in another content area.

 

 

NYSUT's Education & Learning Trust (ELT), in partnership with SUNY Empire State University, offers members a path to earn up to nine (9) Empire State University graduate credits toward Empire State University’s online Master of Education in Special Education (MEd SpEd). Once you complete your 9 credits, you can matriculate into Empire State University using our partnership benefit program.
